The head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova said that as a result of checking almost 200 samples of seafood and fish caught in the Black Sea, no deviations from the norms and contamination of products were found.

“At the first meeting of the government commission (on liquidation of the consequences of the emergency in the Kerch Strait), I voiced a proposal, it was adopted, that we on the basis of laboratory centers (...) begin and have already begun to conduct research of fish and seafood from the sea waters of the coast of the Cras coast (...) Nodar region and around Crimea, in order to determine possible contamination. To date, almost 200 such tests have been performed. And while we do not see deviations, we do not see violations,” Popova said in an interview with the TV channel “Russia 24” (VGTRK).
As reported, two Volgoneft tankers with fuel oil crashed in the Kerch Strait on Sunday, December 15, — according to the main version, due to a storm.
As a result of the tanker accident, there was a spill of oil products. According to Russian media, Volgoneft-212 transported 4,300 tons of fuel oil. Shot and Baza claim that about the same amount of oil products were on board the Volgoneft-239.
