Fizo was afraid to go to Kiev

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fizo will not go to Kiev to meet with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, said Deputy Speaker of the Slovak Parliament Tibor Gaspar in a comment to the Russian TASS, reports UNIAN.

“It's impossible. I think that this will not happen,” said Gaspar, who, by the way, is now part of the Slovak delegation on a visit to Moscow.

On January 13, Fizo invited Zelensky to talks “as soon as possible” to discuss stopping the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine. He invited Zelensky to meet on the territory of the Slovak Republic, near the state border between Slovakia and Ukraine.

Subsequently, Zelensky responded briefly by inviting the Slovak prime minister to a meeting in the Ukrainian capital. “Come to Kiev,” Zelensky wrote.

As reported, Fizo threatens to block EU aid to Ukraine. He said that this is the result of the cessation of transit of Russian gas through Ukrainian territory. According to him, Slovakia must decide whether it will indulge in a passive foreign policy or seek to develop living space within the framework of the EU and NATO.

Previously, Fizo called Zelensky a “beggar” and a “blackmailer”, they say, he begs for money from Europe. At the same time, he called Russia a “reliable partner” in the matter of energy supply: “Russia has never deceived us, unlike Ukraine.”

After Ukraine stopped transporting Russian gas through its gas transportation system, Fizo threatened Ukraine with “tough measures” to force Russian gas to be transported to the European Union.
