Towards the holiday season: Russia's efforts swimming in the Black Sea is now fraught with burns and eczema

Swimming in the sea after spilling fuel oil is fraught with burns, the Russian Academy of Sciences warns.

This is reported Crimean wind.

“At the moment it is difficult to predict what the beaches will look like before the end of May - only very brave people can do it if they do not have a material interest in their words. One of the results of cleaning fuel oil and removing contaminated sand will be the change of the beach itself,” said Viktor Danilov-Danilian, scientific head of the Institute of Water Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

If the skin touches a clot of fuel oil, it can lead to burns and allergic reactions, including eczema.

It will take 15-20 years to restore the ecosystem after the fuel oil spill off the coast of Anapa.

The expert advises not to believe tour operators that will lure tourists.

As reported, two Volgoneft tankers with fuel oil crashed in the Kerch Strait on Sunday, December 15, — according to the main version, due to a storm.

As a result of the tanker accident, there was a spill of oil products. According to Russian media, Volgoneft-212 transported 4,300 tons of fuel oil. Shot and Baza claim that about the same amount of oil products were on board the Volgoneft-239.
