The number of 219 thousand tourists who visited the annexed Crimea on New Year holidays, announced by the Russian head of Crimea Sergey Aksenov, is manipulative and does not correspond to reality. About this Crimea.Realitiessaid one of the Crimean guides.
According to his information, Sergey Aksenov dismissed everyone who entered the territory of Crimea for the New Year holidays as tourists.
“The Crimean authorities have been sinning with this trick since 2014, when the tourist flow to Crimea fell sharply. They pass everyone who enters here as tourists. Regarding the New Year holidays, it is natural that thousands of Crimeans took advantage of the long weekend and left Crimea on their business, and before starting work returned and were counted as “tourists”. Thousands of students from Crimea who study at Russian universities came home for the holidays and are also counted as “tourists”, - the tour guide commented on the situation on condition of anonymity.
According to his observations, the real number of tourists was much more modest.
“I have my indicators. The declared number of tourists is almost comparable to the summer weekly figures. But if in the summer I make a request for a keyword (the name of a popular Crimean tour segment) in search of the popular social network “VKontakte” among Russians, then every day there are many posts about visiting this object by tourists. On these New Year's days, even for the most popular objects per day, there were two or three posts. Therefore, I consider the voiced number of “tourists” to be very high, and therefore — manipulative,” the tour guide noted.
Earlier it was reported that, according to experts, the resort season-2025 in the annexed Crimea will be severely affected due to the incident with fuel oil spills in the waters of the Kerch Strait and the spread of fuel oil emissions on the Crimean coast.
