“Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich, here are crosses, as well as neck icons with the image of the holy equal-apostolic Grand Duke Vladimir, the founder of our state, the one who defended with a sword in his hands our fatherland, which still remains a symbol of the collection of Russian land. But, in addition, it is also your heavenly patron. So, I think it will be especially understandable and pleasant for all the soldiers who will receive these images,” Patriarch Kirill said.
