Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has said that Moscow is ready for talks on Ukraine. He also said that the Kremlin never refused contacts with Washington, they were interrupted by the United States, reports UNIANwith reference to the pro-Kremlin TASS agency.

According to Putin, the decision of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to ban dialogue with Russia makes possible negotiations “illegitimate”.

“It is hardly possible to seriously negotiate between the Russian Federation and Ukraine in the conditions of Zelensky's prohibition decree. Kiev is happy to hammer hundreds of billions of dollars from sponsors on both cheeks, but is in no hurry to cancel the decision to ban negotiations with the Russian Federation,” he said.

Putin believes that Zelensky will reverse his decision to ban dialogue with Russia when allies force him to sit down at the negotiating table.

The head of the Russian Federation also spoke about his relations with US President Donald Trump. According to him, they are “trusting and pragmatic.”

In addition, the Russian dictator stressed that if Trump had not “stolen victory” in the last presidential election in the United States, the war in Ukraine could have been avoided.
