Families of North Korean soldiers killed in Kursk region are required to sign non-disclosure documents.
This is reported by volunteers of the international intelligence community InformNapalm with reference to the publication “Free Asia” (RFA), reports Kyiv24News.
DPRK authorities call participation in the war “sacred exercises”. That is, the main goal of engaging DPRK soldiers in the war against Ukraine is to train them for new aggressive wars.
The DPRK authorities provide the families of those killed in Kurshchina with death certificates and require the families of those killed in grief to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
A source from South Pyonan province, who asked to remain anonymous for security reasons, told Radio Free Asia (RFA) on December 29 that it had received such a certificate.
“On December 18, my mother and I received a message that the party committee of the city of Kechon is calling us to participate in a party event at the provincial level. When we arrived in Pyeongson, we received a certificate of death in battle of my younger brother, who served in the special operations forces,” the source said.
According to the source, “at an event held by the provincial party committee, they explained that the servicemen died during sacred military exercises on which the honor of the Motherland depended” and handed the families of the dead in battle.
In total, more than ten families took part in the event, and most of the military killed in the battle belonged to the unit “Storm”.
“Most citizens know that soldiers from the unit “Storm” were sent to the Russian-Ukrainian war. Therefore, the families of the dead also guessed that their relatives died after being sent to the Russian Federation. But the authorities have forced us to put fingerprints under a document that prohibits talking to anyone about anything related to it. We did it and went home in tears,” the source said.
