The future special representative of US President-elect Donald Trump on Ukraine, retired General Keith Kellogg, said he aims to try to find a solution to end Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine within 100 days of Trump's inauguration.
He made such a statement on the Fox News channel, reports UNIAN. According to Kellogg, both he and Donald Trump understand that they have little time to find a solution. The US president-elect wants to end the war as quickly as possible.
“People need to understand: he's not trying to give anything to Putin or the Russians. He is actually trying to save Ukraine and its sovereignty,” said the future special representative for Ukraine.
He also noted that Biden's “biggest mistake”, in his opinion, was refusing to talk to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin for more than two years. At the same time, Trump is determined to do so.
The retired General believes that the President-elect of the United States will be able to offer an acceptable decision to the ruler of the Kremlin and President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky “in the short term”.
“I would like to set a goal, both on a personal and professional level, I would say, let's set it at the level of 100 days,” he added.
US President-elect Donald Trump has repeatedly said during the election campaign that he will end the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine within 24 hours. After winning the election, he acknowledged that the issue was much more complicated.
