Ukrainian drones set fire to oil base in Russia's Engels

Tonight, the Saratov region of Russia suffered a massive UAV attack, as a result of which the oil base in Engels was damaged, reports UNIAN.

According to local residents, at least 40 explosions thundered in the city, and later on social networks began to post videos of a large fire at an oil base.

Subsequently, the seizure was confirmed by the authorities of the Saratov region. According to the governor, the air defense was shot down by drones, but the debris fell on an “industrial facility”. Firefighters and emergency services are currently working at the scene.

According to preliminary information, one of the tanks at RosreServe's Krystal oil base, used to store aviation fuel, which is supplied to the Engels-2 airbase, was damaged.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation said that 11 Ukrainian UAVs were shot down over the Saratov region, four over Kursk and Rostov, three over Belgorod and Bryansk, two over the Krasnodar Territory, one over the Volgograd region and four over the Azov Sea.

So, in early December, drones attacked the military airfield “Engels-2”, where strategic bombers launching missiles on the territory of Ukraine are located.

Also earlier GUR drones attacked the Saratov oil refinery.
